คำทักทายจากประเทศไทย! Greetings from Thailand! We’ve been in Chiang Mai now since last Wednesday (I’m writing on Sunday afternoon). It’s been a busy first few days resting up and getting acclimated. The students have done great so far and really handled the trip from the US here (over 24 hours travel + layovers) well. We’ve gotten familiar with the area around our hotel, which is just across the river from downtown Chiang Mai. We’ve visited a few Christian organizations as well, including the Free Burma Rangers, Jojo’s Sanctuary, and Remember Nhu, and some of us had the opportunity to meet with some Buddhist monks at one of the temples in the city. I won’t say any more about these right now because we want the students to be able to tell you themselves, so keep following this blog for future updates! In the meantime, I want to encourage you to check out these ministries and continue to pray for safe travels. Tomorrow we’ll be moving on to Mae Sot, which is located on the western border between Thailand and Myanmar.
