A Day in the Life
Ascent
Ascent provides a schedule that is both rigorous and restful. Teaching fits into three weekdays while an off-campus internship, Research Thread, regular campus maintenance, a semi-formal dinner and discussion, chapel, and extended times of intercessory prayer, take up the other two days. Weekends are free. The following is a sample of two of our program days.
MONDAY
Before 8:00 am | 1-hour personal solitude (Bible and journal only)
8:00 – 9:00 am | Breakfast
9:00 – 10:45 am | Teaching block #1
11:15 am – 1:00pm | Teaching block #2
1:00 – 2:00 pm | Lunch
2:30 – 3:30 pm | Review or book talk
5:00 pm | Dinner
6:00 pm – 9:00 pm | Perspectives Course
THURSDAY
Before 7:30 am | 1-hour personal solitude (Bible and journal only)
7:30 – 8:30 am | Chapel and Intercessory prayer
8:30 – 9:30 am | Breakfast
9:30 am – 1:00 pm | Meet with mentor and research
2:30 pm – 4:30 pm | Campus clean-up and maintenance
4:30 – 6:00 pm | Free study
6:00 pm | Dinner
7:30 pm – 9:00p.m. | Study hall
